You Don’t Want to Miss These Concerts

Next week 50 brilliant young musicians and established musical virtuosos will descend upon Innsbrook, transforming our lake community into nature’s grand concert hall. Called “Carnevale of Music,” this year’s Academy and Festival (held June 7¬-15) will offer kaleidoscopes of musical pictures that complement the festive atmosphere of a week dedicated to celebrating great music.

The week of performances will open on Friday, June 7 with a “Symphony of Soloists” orchestral performance led by St. Louis Symphony guest conductor Ward Stare and featuring many Academy and Festival professional musicians. You won’t want to miss the amazing performances throughout the week, which include sweeping Russian melodies, traditional Yiddish Klezmer tunes, thrilling piano concertos, lyrical masterpieces, and romantic Austro-Hungarian standards. The week culminates on Saturday, June 15 with a grand afternoon of student chamber concerts at the Conference Center, followed later that evening by an orchestral concert featuring the music of Mendelssohn, Beethoven, and more performed by Academy musicians and guest conductor Ward Stare. You can see the complete list of concerts, times, and get ticket information by visiting the Institute website at www.innsbrookinstitute.org or viewing this week’s issue of the Village Views: www.innsbrook-resort.com/property-owners/village-views
