Innsbrook Security Installs Solar Powered Speed Signs
Driving through Innsbrook’s gates brings a sense of peace, relaxation and serenity. Outside stress seems to disappear and for a moment, residents, guests, and vacationers are able to take a step back and enjoy their time in Mother Nature’s playground. One unique feature of our Innsbrook community can be seen all around the property and serves as a constant reminder to relax and slow down both literally and figuratively; the speed limit signs.
Not only do the 23 and 17 ½ MPH speed limit signs remind people of the calming environment that is Innsbrook, but to also respect the rules and guidelines that are prevalent in keeping our community safe and secure for all who enter the gates.
In order to enhance the speed limit guidelines, you may have noticed new speed radar signs around the development. The new technology consist of solar-powered speed signs called The Shield 12. It is a highly rugged and weatherproof radar speed sign, with welded aluminum enclosure, concealed mounting hardware, shatterproof Lexan, and graffiti-resistant powder coat. The new speed signs were installed to help remedy the persistent problem of speeding around the Innsbrook property.
“The Shield 12 will generate and share ready-made reports about speeding enforcement,” said Innbrook’s Director of Security, Gavin Bryant. “We can access and monitor the Shield radar speed sign from anywhere with an Internet connection. Email or text alerts for tampering, low batteries, and high-speed violators will be sent to the security team.”
Rather than a speed bump or the trailer speed signs, The Shield 12 has the ability to take photos of those speeding in conjunction with the ability to capture license plates for better speed enforcement. “The visual deterrent for speeding can be pretty effective in many ways, as seen at schools, courthouses, and government buildings. Furthermore, with the new signs, we can look back and see who is speeding without being present at the time.”
The new speed signs offer a substantial benefit to the Innsbrook security team and the residents and guests of Innsbrook by gathering data to recognize trends and repeat offenders. With this new data, security can accurately warn repeat offenders of the repercussions of continued speeding around the property. “Property owners will be notified of speeding incidents with their guests, renters, and contractors. Habitual offenses will result in RFID sticker deactivation, rental permit availability being disabled, and contractors not being allowed to work on Innsbrook property. We want to keep our community safe and this new technology is a step in the right direction.”
All of the installations for the speed signs were complete last week at three locations: Aspen Lake Drive, Alpine Lake Drive, and Tyrolean Way.
Whether it be a resident, guest, vacationer, contractor, or Innsbrook employee, all play a role in keeping our community safe for everyone. So the next time you drive inside the Innsbrook gates or take a cruise around the development, remember the 23 and 17 ½ MPH speed limit signs, take a deep breath, relax and slow down. After all, you’re at Innsbrook.
