More Information
The Innsbrook Fishing Club will be hosting a at the Charrette Commons Meeting room to discuss Paddlefish stocked in our lakes.
Research teams from the United States Geological Survey (USGS), including the Columbia Environmental Research Center (CERC) and the Oklahoma Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Research Unit (OKCFWRU), along with students from Oklahoma State University (OSU), are using several lakes at Innsbrook to help validate if side-scan sonar is a valuable tool for identifying and counting Paddlefish. IBK’s population of Paddlefish will help assess the accuracy of their statistical models and methodology. They plan to use side-scan sonar and semi-autonomous kayaks with GPS-enabled trolling motors to survey several lakes from July 9 through July 12.
Please join us to learn more about Paddlefish behaviors, life expectancy, and the new research activities. A light, pick-up dinner will be available at 6 p.m. before the meeting officially begins at 6:30 p.m.
