Announcing the 2017 Summer Breeze Concert Series Lineup!
Innsbrook property owners: Are you ready for family, Frisbee and flip flops this summer along with some high-energy, kid-friendly, live music fun? We head back to the outdoor amphitheater at Charrette Creek Commons for our second season of the Summer Breeze Concert Series at the new facility!
Kicking things off (and getting you to kick off your sandals) is Groovethang – opening the series for the second year in a row. After reconnecting with your fellow IBK’ers at the Anniversary Party on Saturday, meet up for a dance party with this super-fun St. Louis band on Sunday, May 28.
Groovin’ in STL since 1997, this group has entertainment down to an art.
Then, embrace the “illusion” as the great Styx is reignited through the tribute sound and look of Grand Allusion. On Saturday, June 3, come sail away as you transport yourself back to the great times and rockin’ hits of the ’70 and ‘80s.
In describing their performance, the band says: “We strive to recreate the music of Styx with exceptional instrumental performances and vibrant harmonies where we endeavor to remain true to the original recorded music while translating it into an exciting concert experience.”
Get your vocal chords warmed up as we prepare to welcome Grand Allusion to the stage for their Innsbrook debut!
Usher in the official start of summer with the Garden Party Band on Saturday, June 24. This band will fill the Commons with festive tunes from the likes of The Eagles, Vince Gill, Rick Nelson and more as the Summer Breeze Concert Series returns after a two-week hiatus for the Innsbrook Institute.
Garden Party is a 3-piece (well, sometimes a 5-piece) band that plays great acoustic music. In fact, “It’s a side project for the guys in Butch Wax & The Hollywood’s to get to play some rockabilly and country twang,” says band member Gene Ackmann.
The ‘80s will be flying high again at Innsbrook on June 30 when Queens Blvd. puts their own brand of youthful swagger into the 1980s hit parade.
Leave the lawn chairs at home because you’ll be on your feet from start to finish during this Independence Day weekend performance! No shoes? No worries! Kick off your flip flops as Queens Blvd. gets the party started under the stars.
Then, get ready to say hello to one of St. Louis’ favorite new bands – Big Love – as they create the ultimate Fleetwood Mac experience on July 8. Fleetwood Mac is that rare group that gets everyone – male and female, young and old – to jump to their feet in excitement when they hear the first words and notes of those famous tunes!
Big Love will take you on a trip through time that features the many great hits that the group made famous.
When neon retro attire, wild hair and spandex roll through the Innsbrook gates, you know The Breakfast Club is back! On July 15, this high-energy band will present an outstanding evening of fun under the stars.
The Breakfast Club is one of the top ‘80s bands in the Midwest, and is an Innsbrook favorite of music fans of all ages!
After 25 years and many incarnations, the Soulard Blues Band still tears up the town one show at a time, and will bring their talents to Innsbrook on July 22.
The band’s mission is to leave things a little better than when they found them – this applies to song arrangements, the mood of the audience and the entire musical scene!
The Midnight Piano Band makes its Innsbrook debut on July 29 and they are all about the live musical performance! There are no laptops, no backing tracks and no gimmicks. What you see is what you hear and what you hear is awesome!
If you like the classic hits of Billy Joel and Elton John, played well and with experience, you’ll love the Midnight Piano Band. Get ready for a full evening of all your favorite hits that you won’t be able to resist singing along with.
For the first concert in August on the 5th, we welcome McLovin – a premier St. Louis groove machine that keeps the dance floor (or field!) shaking all night long (well, until 10 p.m. in our case).
McLovin will create a night to remember as a crowd pleaser for all ages, playing hits spanning from the ‘50s all the way to the top music of today.
Summer rolls on at Charrette Creek Commons on August 12 with a high-energy band hailing from Kansas City. Hudson Drive’s playlist spans today’s best country covers to their own take on classic hits from legendary artists. From Luke Bryan to George Strait, Hudson Drive has a country-certified sound from the Midwest – perfect for an Innsbrook summer evening!
Break out your cowboy boots and hats and your coolest country fringe for a great night out!
Rarely is there a band so true to its name as our August 19 entertainment – Fabulous Motown Revue. When a group has been performing together for more than 25 years, you know you’re in for something special! Fabulous Motown Revue will make sure the Innsbrook dance party continues as the summer winds down.
This band is dedicated to recreating the Motown experience in both music and dance – and understands the similarities and differences of the sound. Many members of this group have played with greats such as The Four Tops, Natalie Cole, Aretha Franklin and more, and now they’re performing for Innsbrook’s listening pleasure!
Tune up your ears for the sounds of the clawhammer banjo, harmonica, mandolin and washboard on August 26! Drawing energy from their river-town roots in bluegrass, old-time, blues, indie-folk and jazz, Grass Fed Mule’s upbeat show floods the ears with strong vocal harmonies and instrumental finesse.
This Miles Davis-inspired quartet has skyrocketed in popularity since its establishment in 2015 – touring the Midwest and releasing their debut album before making their first stop to the Innsbrook stage.
Yes, all good things must indeed come to an end, and Butch Wax & The Hollywoods will escort the 2017 concert series into the sunset on Saturday, September 2.
As Butch Wax serenades us out of summer, you’ll hear classic songs from the ‘50s, ‘60s and ‘70s from this Innsbrook fan favorite.
There are many reasons to come to each event of our 2017 Summer Breeze Concert Series. Whether you want to take in the most popular Midwest performers, impress your guests with our newest venue, enjoy a summer evening spent with neighbors or simply need a reason to get out of the house – our concert series is here to please.
Rock out with your best dance moves up front near the stage, or enjoy a more subtle taste of the Midwest music scene by sitting closer to the back of the field. Bring your blankets, coolers and lawn chairs, along with your family, friends and feelin’-good attitude!
Please note: The Summer Breeze Concert Series is open to Innsbrook property owners, their family/registered guests and vacationers staying on-property. For public entertainment options, check out the music lineup the Clubhouse Bar & Grille!
