Announcing the 2016 Summer Breeze Concert Series Lineup!
With high temperatures in the ‘60s here in the second week of December, you can almost imagine that it’s spring time in Missouri and another exciting summer of live music is just around the corner. Alas, inevitably, the chill will settle in and we’ll need to bundle up (or flee to Florida!) and take comfort in the fact that the 2016 Innsbrook calendar of events is here to heat things up!
Not only are camps, workshops, tournaments and dining events on the agenda for next year, but our popular Summer Breeze concert series is returning for its 19th season.
Inaugurating the stage at the new amenity complex, recently christened Charrette Creek Commons, on May 29 will be the funky, rock-dance hits of Groovethang. The St. Louis band is known for faithfully reproducing the music of such greats as Earth, Wind & Fire, KC and the Sunshine Band and Prince Steely Dan, to current hits from Katy Perry, Pit Bull, Daft Punk and Maroon 5.
Their extensive song list covers the hits from every decade, beginning from the ‘70s to today. A Groovethang show is guaranteed to satisfy fans of every age and background! Bring your dancin’ shoes!
On June 4, Jesse Harris will take the Summer Breeze stage for the first time ever to delight Innsbrook property owners and their guests with his soulful acoustic originals, bluegrass, rock ‘n’ roll, Motown and more.
Jesse says that his songs resonate with strong emotions deeply connecting the audience; musically recounting events of both tribulation and triumph while entertaining throughout.
Up next on June 25 is a big Innsbrook hit – The Breakfast Club! This high energy rock/dance ‘80s tribute band will bring you to your feet. Every song they play is a popular hit and will have you exclaiming, “I know this song!”
Moonwalk down memory lane with The Breakfast Club as they spin you right round to all the radical sounds, styles and way cool dance steps from the 1980s in their over-the-top retro attire.
Then Midwest party rock dance band Dr. Zhivegas returns to Innsbrook on July 1 to kick off our famous Independence Day celebration weekend.
Always playing your favorite songs, Dr. Zhivegas is a live 21st century jukebox!
The dance party continues after the Fourth of July holiday winds down, as the Fabulous Motown Revue returns to Innsbrook on July 9.
This group is dedicated to recreating the Motown experience in both music and dance, and has been performing together for more than 25 years.
Next up on July 16 is Platinum Rock Legends, whose performances are show-stopping and interactive, engaging crowds from the first song until the last.
Performing as a variety of tribute bands, Platinum Rock Legends takes the road experience to the stage to recreate the sounds and likenesses of the well-known artists people love like Def Leppard, Journey, Bon Jovi and more.
Then on July 23, high-energy band FatPocket will take the stage to bring back the hits from the ’60s through the ‘80s to the Top 40 chart toppers of the day.
With a set list ranging from Michael Jackson to Marvin Gaye, Rick James to James Brown and Macklemore to Usher, FatPocket plays the hits from every era.
In the last week of July on Saturday the 30th, Innsbrook favorite Vote for Pedro returns to entertain.
While some bands stick to one genre, Vote for Pedro covers the whole spectrum of popular music in a high-energy show.
The Well Hungarians return again this year in the first week of August on Saturday the 6th.
Well Hungarians performances include great original music as well as country, rock, pop, Motown and classic cover songs ranging from the 1970s to current-day hits.
Coming to Innsbrook on August 13 for the first time is Tommy Halloran’s Guerrilla Swing.
Tommy Halloran’s music is a gumbo of jazz, blues, bossa nova, folk and rock ‘n’ roll. The band was voted “Best Jazz Band” in the River Front Times Music Awards in 2014 and 2015.
My Friend Mike returns to Innsbrook for the second consecutive year on August 20.
This Top 40 cover band was named “Best Party Band” by St. Louis Magazine in 2015. In addition to Top 40 hits, My Friend Mike performs soulful Motown classics, country, rock and anything in between.
On August 27, we welcome the fiery performance and pristine harmonies of the Rogers & Nienhaus band to Innsbrook for the first time.
Don’t miss this opportunity to catch these talented musicians as they transport you back to the heyday of the ‘60s and ‘70s!
Bob Seger tribute band Silver Bullet will perform at Innsbrook for the Summer Breeze concert series finale on September 3.
The members of several St. Louis-area bands came together to create Silver Bullet, who says that “from the ‘60s to the present day, the history of blue collar Americana has been written with the music of Bob Seger as a backdrop.”
As you can see, this year’s lineup offers a diverse range of family-friendly entertainment. From pop and dance to rock and country and throughout the decades, each concert is a great way to unwind and cap off a summer day at the lake.
And of course, adding to the excitement of the concerts themselves is the fact that they’ll be at our brand new outdoor amphitheater at Charrette Creek Commons.
Here is the area on December 10, followed by a rendering of what it will look like when finished.
The concert field was seeded with grass on December 10, so we’ll be able to feel the cool grass between our toes during the concerts next year! Construction has also begun on the stage.
With a beautiful lake as a backdrop, the stars overhead and the beauty all around, our new concert venue will be one of Innsbrook property owners’ favorite summer destinations for years to come!
(Please note: Innsbrook’s Summer Breeze concert series is only for Innsbrook property owners, their registered guests and vacationers staying on property at Innsbrook. Concerts are not open to the general public.)
