Saying “I do” is right around the corner for Innsbrook’s 2021 Dream Wedding Giveaway winners, Jodi Chapie and Lee King. Set for March 20, 2021, overlooking the waters of Innsbrook’s Lake Aspen, Jodi and Lee will say their vows in front of their closest family and friends. With their big day quickly approaching, the wedding planning is in full swing. From invitations (by Serendipity Beyond Design) and place settings (by Nadine + Mina) to the wedding dress (by Mia Grace Bridal) and venues, vendors of all-things-wedding have come together to make the planning process as seamless as possible for this lucky couple.

“Our Wedding Giveaway partners have been amazing to work with! On March 19, the festivities begin and we can’t wait for some of the best vendors in the industry to come together for Jodi and Lee,” said Amber Bade, director of Innsbrook’s Aspen Center. Last fall, the couple worked with Jess & Jen Photography to shoot their engagement photos at Busch Memorial Wildlife Conservation area, and have sent out their invitations custom-designed by Serendipity Beyond Design.

For some couples, finding the perfect venue can be the most difficult aspect of the planning process. With the wedding giveaway package providing Innsbrook Resort as the venue, Jodi and Lee have planned to utilize a few of Innsbrook’s most popular wedding spaces.

“For Jodi and Lee’s wedding weekend, the Aspen Center is reserved exclusively for them. The Sycamore Terrace, our newest all-season venue with retractable glass walls and beautiful views of Lake Aspen, will be host to their rehearsal dinner on Friday and their morning brunch on Sunday,” said Bade. “The lake stage, where they will say their “I-Do”s, is lakeside to Innsbrook’s second-largest lake. Our Aspen Room and Foxfire Bar, where their friends and family will gather to celebrate the newlyweds, will accommodate Jodi and Lee’s reception, dinner, and dancefloor.”

As the countdown continues, Jodi and Lee’s wedding planning has been centered on creating a unique, authentic night by adding in elements of their own personalized twists and flare. “We want an ‘experience,’ explained bride-to-be Jodi. “Lee and I are not very traditional, so we want to have a wedding that feels more like a celebration. We wanted to make this a night everyone will remember, while still staying true to ourselves. For instance, the artist who does a majority of my tattoos (Jodi boasts dozens of uniquely inked tattoos) will actually be at our reception and will tattoo each other’s initials on our ring fingers!”

A bohemian, yet chic play on dusty blues and slate, with hints of gold, light pink, and burgundy will be sprinkled throughout to fulfill the to-be-weds’ vision of a soft, earthy feel to match the tone of the Aspen Center. “I love the rustic idea to fit with the vibe of the Aspen Center,” stated the bride-to-be Jodi. “We’re also including geometric pieces, which I am super excited about. We may add some other cool pieces of décor from Event Inspirations by Plush.”

Along with the planning of the perfect day, comes the shopping for the perfect bridal gown. With so much meaning built into one dress, the process of searching for the gown can be overwhelming. With the help from Mia Grace Bridal, Jodi has said “yes” to her dream wedding dress.

 “I said ‘Yes!!’ I went in with an idea of what I thought I would be getting and left with something completely different,” said Jodi. “Madison at Mia Grace Bridal was a godsend! She had me try on a variety of gowns and when I put this one on, it just felt right!”

With the attire, venue, and vision in place, the future Mr. and Mrs. King have a few details to finalize before the planning is complete. “We still need to do our cake tasting with Made by Lia which should be soon! We will be picking out our décor from Event Inspirations by Plush and we do our food tasting at Innsbrook in the next couple of weeks. We will be setting up our table placements with Nadine + Mina in February and will be touching base with Applause Weddings soon for more details regarding music! We are really looking forward to in-person meetings with our vendors.”
